Hello, I’m Trisha. I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor working with adults and adolescents. I qualified with a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling & Art Therapy. I am currently studying an MSc in Creative Art Psychotherapy (Working with Young People). As an ethical practitioner, I follow the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (IACP) Code of Ethics.

My Approach

I am deeply passionate about what I do. I regard it as a privilege to be present with another person sharing their life experiences and their emotional wellbeing with me, whether that’s their challenges, road blocks, stepping stones or personal goals. I provide a safe, confidential and authentic space where you feel listened to, feel heard, in a warm and caring manner. Here, you can be yourself without judgement or criticism.

I strive to cultivate a trusting relationship with you, recognising your uniqueness and tweaking the therapeutic process to meet your individual needs. I believe that everyone is different and what works for one person may not be as effective for another. As an Integrative Counsellor, I use various therapeutic approaches to provide a prescriptive approach specifically for you and your needs. Art/creativity may be incorporated into our sessions as an alternative form of expression.

I realise the importance of hearing and understanding your story to best help, support and guide you. With this often comes self-discovery leading to increased self-understanding and self-awareness. It is my job to help you in this growth process to cope better with issues as they present themselves; to help you to process life experiences; to change what needs to be different or to support you in trusting your own ability to realise your full potential.

My holistic approach to therapy is based on respect, empathy and genuineness laced with hope and optimism. If you are reading this, I recognise the courage it has taken to make contact and to start therapy. I understand that you are taking steps to feel more like yourself again and I hope to guide on your journey.
