Self-Compassion ideas from our therapists

If you are going through depression, it is essential to show yourself kindness and self-compassion.  Remind yourself that depression is not a choice.

Part of this is validating how you feel, saying that it is okay to feel this way and that many other people do too.

Meeting yourself where you are at and treating yourself as if you were your best friend.

You are not to blame for what your mind and body are going through; removing shame and stigma can be so freeing.

Changing your mindset to that of a compassionate witness and looking from the outside can be really transformational.

Our caring and qualified therapists are here to help!
