Biography:
As an integrative therapist, I blend various therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs. My approach is rooted in a deep respect for the mind-body connection, recognizing that emotional, mental, and physical health are intertwined. My goal is to support clients in navigating life’s challenges, whether it's managing stress, healing from past trauma, improving relationships, or developing healthier coping strategies.
Before becoming a Counsellor I spent almost 15 years working in the Disability Sector, supporting people with various Intellectual disabilities and mental health issues.
I believe in the transformative power of self-awareness and work collaboratively with my clients to help them better understand their thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. I offer support for people who present with issues such as stress, anxiety, relationship problems, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, anger management, work related issues, loss and bereavement. I have spent several years working with the Carlow and South Leinster Rape Crisis Centre while I was completing my Masters.
I am an accredited member of APCP. I have also completed Levels 1 - 3 in EMDR with Gus Murray.
