About me
I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a fully accredited member of the IACP Counselling Professional Body. The main therapeutic approaches I use are Humanistic/Rogerian, Choice Theory and Mindfulness, with Person-Centred therapy being at the heart of my practice.
I have been working as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist for the past 10 years and have vast experience of working with people from many different backgrounds, presenting with many different issues including social isolation, anxiety and panic, depression, bereavement and loss, stress and trauma, family and relationship issues, bullying, low self-esteem, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, and personal development.
I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space in which clients can talk about their problems and issues safely. This is a healing process which enables clients to gain self-awareness, grow, learn new skills and behaviours and improve their lives, both in the short and long term.
I take a holistic approach, taking into account a person's whole being and all of the influences in their lives. I aim to create a safe, non-threatening, supportive space in which each individual is completely in control of the sessions, how much they disclose, and the pace of the sessions.
